Hello Gervais Families,
Every year we require parents to update the registration information for their students. For your student's safety, we need you to verify your contact, mailing, medical, and other important information annually. In the past, we called you and did this over the phone, but we have changed to online updates through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please go to the Back-to-School Toolkit on the district website and see the info under "Required Annual Student Updates".

Our Back-to-School Toolkit with helpful information like school supply lists, important dates, school contact info, and school start and end times is online! Use the link below or you can find links to the toolkit in your school's Student Portal or Parent Portal (under the Explore tab).

Hello Gervais Students and Parents,
A couple of sketchy emails are arriving in staff mailboxes and I think they may have started in one or more student mailboxes. If you get an email with one of these subject lines:
“JOB FOR STUDENTS” or “Verification of Email Validation”
Please just delete it. If you think your account is infected, please contact me. Thanks.

Hello Gervais Families,
We understand that there is some confusion over an incorrect version of the school calendar that lists tomorrow as a day off for students . We want to clarify that tomorrow, Friday, May 22nd, is a regular school day. We apologize for the error.
Monday is Memorial Day and is a day off for students. Please enjoy the long weekend and national holiday honoring U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the Armed Forces.

All GSD schools and district offices are closed today due to the continued power outage. Our water systems related to bathrooms are dependent on power and without a reliable time of a return to service from PGE, we have to make a decision with the information available. We hope to address this facility issue with bond dollars. All events and activities are also canceled except those wrestlers going to state. Go Cougars!

Gervais School District is on a two-hour delay today due to a power outage. The district may decide to close for the entire day if power is not restored. That decision will be made by 8 a.m.

We will be hosting a Parent Education Night on Wednesday, February 25th from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at GHS. This event will feature a short film from The New Drug Talk and discussions with community leaders from Marion County. This event is for parents, students, and community members. Refreshments and activities for kids will be provided!
At this event, EVERY participating family will receive a Starbucks gift card and will be entered to win a family dinner at Abby's Legendary Pizza! Representatives from Interface Network will be present to provide information and assistance to families to enroll in and navigate the Oregon Health Plan.
We hope to see you there!
