25/26 GMS
WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
April 20, 2026
Message from Mrs. Johnson -
It is that time of year again - STATE TESTING! All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be taking both the English Language Arts and Math state tests over the next two weeks. We will be starting with reading and writing. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week we will be on a special schedule. This means the first 2 hours of the day (8:00-10:00) students will be doing the state tests.
Please make sure all students are on time to school. At 8:15 students will not be allowed to enter the testing rooms late. This is too disruptive to the testing students.
It is also important that students are going to bed at a reasonable time and eating breakfast either at home or at school. This can be a stressful time for students. Please give lots of positive reinforcement and “I believe in you!”
Thank You,
Mrs. Johnson
