Gervais is off to a strong start in 2025, currently holding a 4-3 overall record and a 2-3 record in league play, demonstrating steady growth and teamwork under the leadership of Head Coach JJ Navarette. The team has been gaining momentum with several impressive wins and continues to make a name for itself in league play. Both varsity and junior varsity squads have demonstrated determination and grit on the field, reflecting the program’s growing strength and community support.
This season marks a special milestone for Gervais: the team is now playing on its new turf field, a transformation made possible not through bond funding but through community partnerships and creative financing. At the first game of the 2025 season, the district held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the transformation of the field. Players and fans alike are thrilled with the new turf surface, which has elevated the game-day experience and given the Cougars a true home-field advantage. As the season progresses, Gervais continues to build momentum, pride, and excitement, both on and off the field.
If they continue to ride this momentum, on and off their new turf, they’ll be in a strong position heading into postseason play.
