Dear Parents and Students of Gervais School District,
As we come to the end of the school year, the district has the overwhelming task of collecting and accounting for all of our loaned district Chromebooks and hotspots. We need to have all of the equipment accounted for and checked very quickly so that we can begin the task of returning end-of-lease equipment on time and turn in an insurance claim for units that were broken or damaged.
Here is the process for returning the equipment:
- All items, with their charging cords (and hotspot boxes if you still have them), must be returned no later than June 18. Parents will be charged for any unreturned items. Please see the replacement cost breakdown below.
- It would be helpful if you could tape your student’s name to the item or put it in a bag with the student’s name on it, so we can make sure we get the right person checked off the list.
- Homeroom teachers will collect items in their classrooms June 14-16.
- We will also hold an evening drive-thru drop-off event on June 15 from 4:00-7:30pm. We’ll ask you to drive behind the elementary school on Alder and left (heading Northeast) on 1st Street where we’ll have people ready to collect the equipment from your car window.
- If you miss these turn-in times, you can always bring it to the Tech Office at 290 1st Street, M-F between 7:30 and 3:30.
- All equipment must be returned no later than June 18.
