Technology

Gervais School District has built a robust and modern technology infrastructure that allows us to readily pursue and support emerging strategies in the ever-evolving world of educational technology.

The Gervais School District Technology Department is responsible for making technology available to all staff and students in order to make their work easier and to enhance learning. We maintain the district’s computers, Chromebooks, printers, scanners, servers, and network hardware. We load software, provide help desk support, and train staff to use our licensed software programs.  We maintain the district web page, electronic signage and electronic communications systems.  We seek to improve the district’s use of technology by forming committees to research the best use of Technology funding.  All of this is in adherence to the Gervais School District  3-Year Tech Plan which dictates technology support, standards, and learning in the district. Finally, we adhere to and enforce the following district policies:  Policy#EGAAA – Copyright MaterialsPolicy #EGAAA-AR – Copyright MaterialsPolicy #IIBGA – Electronic CommunicationsPolicy #IIBGA-AR – Electronic CommunicationsPolicy #IIBGB – Web PagesPolicy #IIBGB-AR – Web Site Guidelines
