Dear Gervais families, staff and students,
The Gervais School District has received the following message from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) about the potential for E. coli contamination in romaine lettuce.
CDC is advising that U.S. consumers not eat any romaine lettuce, and retailers and restaurants not serve or sell any, until we learn more about the outbreak. This investigation is ongoing, and the advice will be updated as more information is available.
The district will not be serving any romaine lettuce in our schools until the CDC has determined it is safe to eat. All romaine lettuce has been removed as an additional precaution.
For any further question or concerns, please contact the Food Service Department.
