Dear Parents,
I read an article in the Oregonian this morning that stated fewer than 10% of voters statewide have turned in their ballots for the May 17th election.
As you aware the school district does have a bond for voter consideration on the ballot. You should have received multiple pieces of information in the mail regarding what projects the district would fund should the bond pass. Here is a link to all of the bond information: https://www.gervais.k12.or.us/gervais-bond-measure/.
In the May 2021 elections, less than 15% of the registered voters ages 18 to 44 years old voted. This category represents many parents of school-aged children. It is important to vote. Please make sure your ballot is in the mail and postmarked by May 17th or drop off your ballot at the official ballot return box in the lobby of the Gervais City Hall. The lobby will be open until 8 p.m. May 17th.
