Dear Parents,
Many of you may be aware that today Governor Brown and the Oregon Department of Education released revised health metrics in an effort to ease restrictions so more school districts could open for face-to-face instruction. The goal is to be able to bring in students in grades K-3 and then add students in the other grades slowly. Unfortunately, even with these revised metrics Marion County and the Gervais School District is still not able to open our schools. We will still move forward with bringing in small groups of students for our “Limited In-Person Instruction” or LIPI.
I have another meeting this afternoon where more details will be shared, and as I learn more, please know that information will be shared with you.

Es posible que muchos de ustedes sepan que hoy la Gobernadora Brown y el Departamento de Educación de Oregon publicaron métricas de salud revisadas en un esfuerzo por aliviar la restricción para que más distritos escolares puedan abrir para la instrucción en persona. La meta es poder traer estudiantes de los grados K-3 y luego agregar estudiantes de los otros grados lentamente. Desafortunadamente, incluso con estas métricas revisadas, el condado de Marion y el distrito escolar de Gervais aún no podremos abrir nuestras escuelas.
