Staff Resources

Use these instructions if...

• You don't have a computer set up for your use in the district
• You are at home
• You are at someone else's computer in the district
• You are outside the district

1. Open your web browser.
2. Click on the link on the Gervais web page (go under the Staff menu to Staff Resources, and click on Webmail Access).  Otherwise, type the following URL in the address window:  https://mail.gervais.k12.or.us/exchange
3. Accept all security warnings and log in with your credentials in the following format (click on the picture for a larger view):
4. Your password is the same password you use to login to your computer at work.
5. Click Sign in.
6. Click sign out when you are finished looking at your email.
7. Call Tracy at 503-792-3803 x2250 if you have trouble accessing your email.

SchoolStream is a web-based program for managing district, school and community events using a common calendar. It is also used for submission of most district level forms, and the staff directory is located within this program.

To access SchoolStream, go to https://www.astihosted.com/gsd. Your user name is your first and last name squished together (i.e. tracylewis) and your password is your home zip code (i.e. 97306). You can change your password to whatever you like within the SchoolStream website.

You may want to print this page out so you can refer to it as you look at the SchoolStream website. Once you're logged in, you'll see a screen like this...

To familiarize yourself with the program, open Calendar and then click on the My View tab. Here you can make changes so that you can see all district events or just those for one or more buildings or programs that interest you. The Calendar feature of SchoolStream is also available to everyone (parents, students, community) via a link on our website (no login required). The link is Event Calendar, under District Calendars in the blue table on the left. Click on the Exit button in the upper right to return to the main SchoolStream menu.

Next, open up Forms Manager. Here you'll see some forms that we have converted to electronic format for staff use. We find that the electronic format is simpler for staff to find and use and ensures that the forms are routed properly. Please look here first for any forms you might need. If the form is listed here, that is the only format - there is no paper version available to use in its place. Feel free to open the forms and fill them out while you're touring the SchoolStream system - just don't submit them unless you really mean it. Click on the Exit button in the upper right to return to the main SchoolStream menu.

Staff Directory is self-explanatory. Here you can search for personnel to find out where they work, what they do, and their contact info. Click on someone's name to see the type of information available. Click on the Exit button in the upper right to return to the main SchoolStream menu.

Lastly, My Account is where you can go to change your password and select a prompt to help you if you ever forget your password. Just click on the Modify button. Clicking the Back button will send you back to the main menu where you can then log out.
